Answer: The death of Tiberius’ mother and his friendship with Sejanus.

Answer: Tiberius was willing to talk freely and unguardedly to Sejanus, even though, by nature, he was hesitant and obscure and hid his feelings.

Answer: Sejanus was a man with a modest exterior which covered his arrogance, audacity, and lust for power. He was secretive about himself and willing to incriminate anyone.
